Registration for the 2026 edition of the Cadence Music Festival started

It is with great joy that I am announcing that the Cadence Music Festival is coming back for its 6^th edition. This musical event is dedicated to young musicians and will take place on March 27^th to 29^th and April 10^th to 12^th 2026.

This Festival provides all young musicians the opportunity to develop their potential. Performing on stage helps build a child’s confidence and strengthens their personality. Comments from judges, respected teachers and musicians, are very important for students’ progress.

Festival Information

Options

The Festival offers four options:

Music For Me ‘Piccolo’ (non-competitive) age 4 & 5 years old*

Music For Me (non-competitive) age 6 to 25 years old*

Enchanting Music (competitive) age 6 to 25 years old*

Cadence Virtuoso NEW (competitive): Eligibility is limited only to previous Cadence, CMC, and Omni prize recipients who are 10 years and older

*Age as of January 1^st, 2026

For all options:

-Please indicate precisely the total minutes of your presentation in the registration form.

-Participants may register in more than one option or more than one instrument/category, at full cost of both options.

Enchanted Music if repertoire is more than 20 minutes	$ 80.00 $100.00

Categories

The instruments admitted to the Festival are piano, violin, viola, and cello. Participants will be grouped according to their age as of January 1st, 2026.

Age Groups:

10 years and younger
11 to 15 years old
16 years and older

Results

96% + Only the highest mark for each age group (Grand Prix) will receive monetary award
90% + Gold Mention
86% à 89% Silver Mention
82% à 85% Bronze Mention

Important Dates

March 1, 2026 – Last day to register. All participants must have completed the registration form and made the payment to be registered to the festival
March 27 to 29 and April 10 to 12th, 2026 – Dates of the festival. The date and time of presentation will be communicated with the participants one week before the performance. No request for change of schedule will be permitted.
Winners of the Cadence Virtuoso Category will be invited to present a signature performance at an exclusive gala recital in December 2026.

Rules

Please read the rules of the festival and the repertoire required by option.

Rules:

The repertoire must be memorized for ALL options. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Participants must submit an original or a copy of their repertoire to the judge.
Participants are required to hire their own accompanist and are responsible for the cost. Upon demand, the Cadence Festival can refer an accredited accompanist at the cost of $50/hour for rehearsal, $30 for performance day. The participants are responsible for this cost and is payable directly to the accompanist, the day of the service.

Online registration forms will be accepted until March 1^st, 2026

No changes to the repertoire will be permitted after March 1^st, 2026

Participants must submit a registration form for each option.
Payment (e-transfer) must be made at the time of online registration. No reimbursement will be possible.

Online registration forms received without e-transfer payment will be refused.
Online registration forms and payments must be received by March 1^st, 2026. Any registration form received after this date won’t be accepted.
Participants will receive an email confirming the date and time of their performance one week before the performance day. No request for schedule changes will be authorized.
